Hey there, are you ready for an adventure in the beautiful Peloponnese?
Come join us on a 3-day trip across Western Greece where you will immerse yourself in the numerous cultural and natural wonders of the area.
We’ll be taking a magical trip on a rack railway through one of Greece’s most dramatic landscapes, as well as visiting Lake Tsivlou and going wine tasting at a local winery.
Highlight Stops
The journey begins at the enchanting town of Kalavryta, known for its natural beauty, rich history and winter sports. Leading up to Kalavryta is the Odontotos, a historic narrow-gauge railway that runs from the seaside town of Diakopto to Kalavryta, along the majestic Vouraikos Gorge.
Next, Mega Spilaio, an important Greek Orthodox monastery located on the slopes of Mount Helmos and renowned for its stunning natural setting, intricate frescoes and ancient relics, including a piece of the True Cross and a silver-encased icon of the Virgin Mary.
Lake Tsivlou, an artificial lake located on the slopes of Mount Helmos, created by the construction of a dam on the Krathis River. It is known for its picturesque scenery, crystal-clear waters and outdoor recreational activities such as fishing, hiking and kayaking.

12:00 TRAVEL TO DIAKOFTO WITH A COFFEE BREAK EN ROUTE\
You’ll will stop for a coffee break on the way to Diakopto, a small town on the coast of the Gulf of Corinth.
12:15 - 13:15 DIAKOFTO - KALAVRYTA BY THE ODONTOTOS RAILWAY
Board the Odontotos railway and enjoy the stunning views of the Vouraikos Gorge and surrounding landscape.
13:15 - 16:00 VISIT THE HOLOCAUST MUSEUM AND FETA FACTORY
Near Kalavryta, you will visit the Holocaust Museum, which commemorates the tragic events of the Kalavryta massacre during World War II, and the Feta factory, where you can learn about the production of the local cheese and taste some samples.
16:00 LUNCH IN KALAVRYTA
Enjoy a delicious lunch at The Wine Connoisseurs where you can savor the flavors of the Peloponnesean cuisine.
18:00 RETURN TO THE HOTEL
After lunch, you will return to the hotel, with free time to relax.

Depart for the day’s adventure.
9:30 ARRIVAL AT MEGA SPILAIOS MONASTERY
You will arrive at the Mega Spilaio Monastery, where you can explore the ancient relics and intricate frescoes inside the monastery's chapel.
11:00 VISIT TO THE WINERY
Next, you will visit a local winery, where you can learn about the production of high-quality wines from the Agiorgitiko grape.
13:00 WINE TASTING
A wine-tasting experience in the winery will give you a chance to sample different varieties of wine and learn about the flavors and aromas of each one.
14:00 LUNCH
After the wine tasting, you will have lunch, with a chance to taste some traditional local dishes.
16:00 WALK IN THE NATURA AREA
In the afternoon, you can take a leisurely walk in the Natura area, a protected nature reserve known for its beautiful scenery and rich biodiversity.

09.00 - 11.00 BREAKFAST IN ZAROUCHLA AND WALK
You will spend the morning in Zarouchla, a picturesque village located in the northern Peloponnese. You can take a leisurely walk and explore the traditional architecture, local shops and cafes.
12:00 TSIVLOU LAKE (HIKING)
Next, you will head to Lake Tsivlou, an artificial lake located on the slopes of Mount Helmos. You can go hiking around the lake, enjoying the natural beauty and fresh air.
14:30 LUNCH
After the hike, you will have the chance to taste some local dishes near the lake.
17:00 RETURN
Relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery on your way back
