Come join us on a 3-day trip across Laconia, a beautiful region in the southeastern part of the Peloponnese. Prepare to immerse yourself in the medieval charm of the area and its many cultural and natural wonders.
We’ll be exploring coastal towns and take you to see a beach renowned for its shipwreck, as well as hiking a stunning gorge and going wine-tasting and enjoying other local delights.
Highlights
The journey begins with the enchanting castle town of Monemvasia, where you'll be transported back in time to a medieval citadel shrouded in mystery and history. You’ll wonder the cobblestone alleyways and discover the natural fortress that has been claimed by some of the most iconic empires in history!
Next, you head 5km north of Gythio, where you’ll find Selinitsa, a sandy beach with a secret … the Agios Dimitrios Shipwreck lying just off the shore
Highlight Stops
We venture westward to the largest town in the Mani region - charming Gythio. This coastal gem is home to a picturesque harbor and rows of 19th-century pastel houses that exude a unique coastal allure.
Take a hike through the Rintomos Gorge and discover picturesque settlements, fields once cultivated by residents, ancient bridges and caves, and even remnants from hermitages.
Explore the old fortress town of Kardamyli, one of the most picturesque settlements in Mani, and take a moment to relax and recharge surrounded by the Gulf of Messinia and the majestic Mt Taygetos, which proudly overlooks this beautiful Maniot town.
