The journey takes you back to ancient times with a tour of the archaeological sites of Ancient Tegea and Mantinia. Mantinia also has a rich history of producing excellent wines, offering you the chance to sample unique varieties made by producers who are dedicated to preserving the region’s wine-making traditions.
Exploring Tripoli's significant contribution to the Greek War of Independence is an essential part of any visit to the region. This tour will gradually narrate the complete tale, starting with the victory at the “Fall of Tripolitsa” in the summer of 1821.
Explore Ano Doliana, a picturesque mountain village with breathtaking views amidst lush greenery. It is famous for the victorious battle of the Greek revolutionary hero Nikitaras in May 1821. The village is surrounded by plane and oak trees, stone bridges and fountains and is full of cobbled streets and traditional houses.
Take a hike in the nearby forest on a section of the E4 European long-distance hiking trail while hunting for wild mushrooms! With each step, you'll discover hidden treasures of the natural world and you will enjoy a delicious lunch in the forest under the tranquil sounds of nature.
The journey continues in the lovely village of Agios Petros, on the slopes of Mount Parnon. A unique cedar forest lies to the south of the Malevi Monastery, a spiritual residence for many, named after Mount Parnon’s highest peak, “Malevos”.
Explore the picturesque village of Platanos, which has been declared a traditional settlement, located in the verdant natural environment of the mountain.
