IN THE CITY
Eastern beach of Kalamata People of Kalamata and its visitors have the unique privilege of enjoying the city beach all year round. It’s big, sandy, with all facilities available on the big pedestrian zone and the main road next to it. Big hotel complexes, popular beach bars, restaurants and tavernas, water sports, amusement parks -it’s all there. While swimming, turn around to admire the imposing Taygetus mountain, watching over the city.
Two Blue Flags (at Anastasi and Navarino’s end) reward both the clear waters and the facilities. Seatracs have been placed there, which guarantee autonomous access to the sea to people with disabilities and reduced mobility.
Kordias / Western beach West of the city port, at a distance of 1.5 km. It has fine pebbles mixed with sand, with two stone breakwaters out in the sea, and a view of the Messinian bay. It is organised. A seatrac installation has been placed on Kordias beach, which guarantees autonomous access to the sea to people with disabilities and reduced mobility.
