The outline of the ancient buildings is visible from the surface of the bay’s clear waters. Diving into Kalymnios beach, you will see stone walls, roads and even traces of the breakwater. You will be impressed seeing the floors and rooms of a villa where wealthy Romans lived. And then, there is the surprise of dozens of large ancient urns nearby. You can count around 30 of them, which led archaeologists to conclude that the villa served as a “surplus warehouse” for the large production in the area.
Lastly, diving in the submerged city of Ancient Epidaurus is just as exciting, even with just a mask doing snorkeling.
