One of the most beautiful in the country, Lousios Canyon crosses steep cliffs with historic Byzantine monasteries on top, passes over fairytale-like bridges and leads you to ancient Gortina. While crossing the canyon, you will walk over paved and slippery, dirty and more accessible paths, and you will see watermills and hermitages. Finally, reaching the exit, you will be surprised to find out that the beauty of the route and the scenery have eliminated all the fatigue.
