In the region of Trifylia, after exploring the beaches of the Ionian Sea, you will visit Proti Island, across Marathopoli. You can go to the beautiful Vourlia beach for a swim, with emerald waters, and discover Grammenos cove, with its mysterious etchings and the inscriptions of the Roman and Byzantine periods.

Ideal for sea kayaking is Navarino Bay. You can sail around Sphacteria, Chelonaki, Tsichli Baba.On the west side of Messinia, departing from Kardamyli, you can visit the islet of Meropi, Kalamitsi, Foneas. If you want to, you can go further south, towards the series of the beautiful beachesStoupa and Kalogria, Agios Nikolaos and Agios Demetrios, the wondrous caves and sculptured rocks of Trachila, the natural “platforms” in tiers in Katafygi.
