River trekking and diving in Messinia

The gorge of River Neda is ideal for river trekking in an exceptionally beautiful landscape. You will go snorkelling and scuba diving at beautiful seabeds with shipwrecks on the Sapienza islet, which belongs tο the Messinian Oinousses, and on Proti island, near Kyparissia.

River trekking in Neda The “female” river of the Peloponnese has its source in the southern slopes of Mount Lykaion, and after 32 km it flows into the Gulf of Kyparissia. Its impressive gorge is an open invitation to river trekking, and one of the most beautiful nature-loving-hiking routes in the Peloponnese. Overall, the hiking lasts 7-8 hours and it takes place in June-September. At many spots, the water will reach your waist.
