Tribute to the memory of P. Themelis - Symphonic Concert by Pigi Lykoudis at the Ancient Messini Theatre
A great tribute to the professor and excavator of Ancient Messina, Petros Themelis, is organized by the Municipality of Messina and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Messinia on August 2, Saturday, at the Ancient Theatre. The programme includes a symphonic concert by Pigi Lykoudis to poetry by Yannis Ritsos, orchestrated by Yannis Gikas and performed by baritone Spyros Kleissas, narratives and recitations by Grigoris Valtinos and poems by Nikiforos Vrettakos set to music by Eleni Peta. The "Orchestra of Moments" will perform with the composer Pigi Lykoudis on piano, under the musical direction of Eleftherios Kalkanis. The tribute will start at nine o'clock in the evening.
