The Municipality of Kalamata, the K.E. Faris and Interkultur welcome the great celebration of choirs in the Messinian capital once again! The 5th International Choir Competition and Festival of Kalamata will welcome 31 choirs from 17 countries and over 850 choirs that will fill the city with music!
From Thursday 10 to Monday 14 October 2024, the Friendship Concerts at the Central Square, the Competitions at the Dance Hall and the Church of the Taxiarches, the Gala Concert, the Grand Prize Competition, the activities at the Municipal Railway Park, the Gala Concert at the Ancient Theatre of Messina and the impressive Opening Ceremony, the Parade of Choirs and the magical evening of the Closing Ceremony will make Kalamata an international centre of Choral Music.

Co-organizer of the Festival is the Peloponnese Municipal Council of Peloponnese. Major sponsor of the Festival is the George & Victoria Karelia Foundation.

On Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 20.00 the Opening Concert of the 5th International Choir Competition and Festival of Kalamata will take place at the ''Tenta'' Indoor Gym.
