Experiential Introduction to the Magical World of Music Through Interactive Performances Throughout the Year

Students are introduced to the guitar and other musical instruments through musicians and facilitators in interactive performances during scheduled school group visits. Participants include: Vicky Vassiliadi (flute), Panagiota Iliopoulou (storytelling), Katerina Paleologou (singing), Konstantina Malapani (guitar), Nikolaos Paleologos (oud, yali tambour, rabab), Sophia Anagnostou (violin), Nikos Tsotras (song composition).

The Kalamata Guitar Festival is organized every year by the Municipal Community Enterprise “FARIS,” the Kalamata Municipal Conservatory, and the Parents and Guardians Association of Students and Friends of the Kalamata Municipal Art Schools, “TERPSIS.” It is held under the auspices of the Municipality of Kalamata.

The festival includes concerts, seminars, presentations, and guitar competitions.
